In my blog on my old website I had promised to give readers an inside view of my process, calling it “Anatomy of a Painting.” Unfortunately I could never quite keep up, because it required me to describe what I was doing at every step - more info than I had time to write in a daily blog, so I gave up.

I still think it would be interesting, however, to document what goes into my paintings; if not for readers than for myself, but I cannot take the time to describe it in long prose. I’m an artist, not a writer.

So.... how about a picture? I am going to photograph the result of each day’s work in the studio, and post it here. Hopefully it will be interesting, but if not, at least I might gain some insight into my own process. Perhaps it will lead me in a new direction, or fortify the path I’m on now.
