Faces forming….
Post-measurement day, the boys’ faces are finally starting to take shape. There are layers and layers to any portrait, as I mentioned, and this is not the final one by far. I spent most of this day on the older boy’s face, but did manage a few quick strokes on the younger one’s as well. Notice how the colors are now becoming more “flesh-like.” The dark purple shadows are not quite covered up; they light the flesh tones from below, “informing” you of shadows without being psychedelic. Much more work to be done, of course, but I am happy with the progress so far.
